The General Convention is the bicameral legislature and chief policy making body of The Episcopal Church. Established in 1789 by Article I of the Constitution of The Episcopal Church, it consists of the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops. These session recordings document the legislative proceedings of the General Convention and the floor discussions of resolutions by bishops and deputies of the church.
