Elected 2006, Day 5; re-elected 2009, Day 4, but became Bishop of Minnesota in October 2009

Rt. Rev. Brian N. Prior, now the Bishop of Minnesota, was born in Prosser, Washington, in 1959. After graduating from Whitworth and the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1989. He served as an Associate at St. Stephen’s in Spokane, WA, from 1987 to 1990, and was the Coordinator for Province VIII Youth Ministry as well as serving on the Standing Committee. He was the rector of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Spokane, WA, for 14 years, until he was elected Bishop of Minnesota in 2009. He and his wife, Staci Hubbard Prior, have two children.
