Elected 2012, Day 6
The Rev. Gay Clark Jennings was elected president of the House of Deputies in 2012 and is the first ordained woman to hold that office. Rev. Jennings has represented the Diocese of Ohio at eight General Conventions, and has been a representative to the Anglican Consultative Council and a member of Executive Council. She was Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Ohio for seventeen years, and has served in a number of leadership roles within the Church, as chair of the General Convention legislative committees on Structure, World Mission, Communications, and Canons. Her husband, Albert, is also an Episcopal priest.
