Pictured is the Rt. Rev. Adrian D. Caceres who was consecrated the first resident Bishop of the Episcopal Missionary Diocese of Ecuador on February 7, 1971, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. With him are his wife and three of their four children. The consecrator was the Rt. Rev. John E. Hines, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. Participating in the service, in addition to the Presiding Bishop, were 14 bishops from South America, Central America and the United States, including several from the Roman Catholic Church.
