The 2012-A050 Task Force
Digital Archive of Episcopal Resources on Marriage
General Convention Resolution 2012-A050 called for the creation of a Task Force to study the biblical, theological, historical, liturgical, and canonical dimensions of marriage. Working in consultation with the Standing Commission on Constitution and Canons and the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music, the Task Force on the Study of Marriage has been charged with developing tools for theological reflection at the local level in order to help the Church better understand same-sex unions.
The Archives of the Episcopal Church has created this digital resource to support the work of the Task Force. The work of the A050 Task Force builds on the Church's ongoing study of blessings for same-sex unions. Select materials gathered for that liturgical project are included in this site, but other liturgical materials are also available through the complete 2009-C056 Digital Archive.
