The Very Rev. James C. Fenhagen is the new program coordinator of the Cornerstone Project, a national venture to strengthen the ordained ministry of the Episcopal Church. Fenhagen, 61, was most recently the dean and president of General Theological Seminary in New York, and is known for his expertise in Christian spirituality, the ministry of laity and clergy, and local church ministry. "This is an opportunity to pull together experiences of my whole ministry," Fenhagen said, in anticipating his new role. Prior to his tenure at General Theological Seminary, Fenhagen served parishes in Maryland, South Carolina, and Washington, DC, and directed the Church and Ministry Program at Hartford Seminary. Fenhagen has authored three books, including Invitation to Holiness, issued in 1985.
