Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That this 69th General Convention call upon the Diocese of Sydney of the Anglican Church of Australia to reconsider the action of its October 1985 Diocesan Synod denying all offices in the church and access to the sacraments to both homosexual persons and to "any person who advocates or promotes homosexual practices or a homosexual lifestyle, even if there is no evidence that he or she personally engages in homosexual acts."

The Bishop of Virginia moved to table the Resolution.
