Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 70th General Convention urge each diocese to sponsor a clericus on ministry with the lesbian and gay community; and be it further

Resolved, That the 70th General Convention call upon all Episcopal seminaries to reexamine their curriculum relating to human sexuality in general, and homosexuality in particular, with an end to ensure that such teaching is done non-judgementally and with insight; and be it further

Resolved, That all Episcopal seminaries be requested to prepare continuing education courses in the area of human sexuality in general, and homosexuality in particular, and to make these available to the clergy of this church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Department of Education for Mission and Ministry be directed to prepare appropriate materials for the training of clergy to deal with issues of human sexuality in general, and homosexuality in particular, by January 1, 1993.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That this 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church urge each diocese to sponsor a colloquium on human sexuality and ministry; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convention call upon all Episcopal seminaries to reexamine their curriculum relating to human sexuality, with an end to ensure that such teaching is done with compassion and with insight; and be it further

Resolved, That all Episcopal seminaries be requested to prepare continuing education courses in the area of human sexuality; and be it further

Resolved, That the Department of Education for Mission and Ministry be urged to prepare appropriate materials for the training of clergy to deal with issues of human sexuality.

Deputy Mayo of Fort Worth moved an amendment to the substitute to D011.

Proposed Amendment:

Delete the entire 2nd and 4th resolves.

In the 3rd resolve, put a period after the word "sexuality" and strike the words"; and be it further."

Deputy Fitzhugh of Texas moved to divide the Mayo amendment.
