Resolved, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church express its deep concern over the actions of the United States and other arms-producing nations that have contributed to the sale and spread of arms and armaments to other nations throughout the world; and be it further

Resolved, That this General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Peace with Justice to study this issue of the sale and spread of all types of armaments and report its findings to the 71st General Convention; and be it further

Resolved, That the study by the Standing Commission on Peace with Justice be conducted as a part of its routine work in the coming triennium without the expenditure of any funds other than those allocated for the normal work of that commission.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church express its deep concern over the actions of the United States that have contributed to the sale and spread of arms and armaments to other nations throughout the world; and be it further

Resolved, That this General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Peace with Justice to study this issue of the sale and spread of all types of armaments by the U.S. throughout the world and report its findings to the 71st General Convention; and be it further

Resolved, That the study by the Standing Commission on Peace with Justice be conducted as a part of its routine work in the coming triennium without the expenditure of any funds other than those allocated for the normal work of that commission.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

In the first Resolved, after "United States," add "and other arms- producing nations."

In the second Resolved, after "armaments," omit "by the U.S. throughout the world."
