Resolved, That this General Convention call upon the Secretary General of the United Nations to ensure continued security and protection of the Kurds and the Shi'ites in southern Iraq.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church commend the United States and allied troops who have effectively provided humanitarian relief and protection that allow the safe return of the Kurds to their traditional homeland in northern Iraq; and be it further
