Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 1994 General Convention of the Episcopal Church urges congregations to enter into conversation with American Jews and Muslims to develop mutual understanding and respect, to discuss their respective concerns with regard to peace with justice in the Middle East, and the continuance of the City of Jerusalem as an interreligious municipality with provision for the co-existence of Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 1994 General Convention of the Episcopal Church urges congregations to enter into conversation with American Jews and Muslims to develop mutual understanding and respect, to discuss their respective concerns with regard to peace with justice in the Middle East, and the continuance future status of the City of Jerusalem as an interreligious municipality with provision for the co-existence with protection for the rights of Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

Deputy Sabune of Newark moved an amendment to A102.

Proposed Amendment:

Place a period following the word "justice" and delete the remainder of the text.
