Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the bishops and deputies of the 74th General Convention convey to their dioceses to reach out to Palestinian and Afghani women and children by using websites, such as, http://www.vitalvoices.org/programs/afghan_women or www.pcwf.org or earmarking contributions to Jerusalem 2000 or Episcopal Relief and Development.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 74th General Convention encourage dioceses to assist all Episcopalians to learn about the plight of and provide support for women and children of all faiths in war torn areas, recent examples including Israel/Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Colombia, Sudan, and Liberia; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convention commend such websites as:

<www.vitalvoices.org/programs/afghan_women>, <www.pcwf.org>, or <www.er-d.org> (the website of Episcopal Relief and Development) resources in our education and action.

Deputy Seitz of West Virginia moved an amendment to the substitute.

Delete the second resolve clause.
