Resolved, That the 76th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in support of the theological principle that all humans are created in the image of God, renew its historic support of passage of the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and be it further
Resolved, That given a renewed interest in passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in the 111th Congress, that the General Convention direct the Office of Government Relations to make known our support for the Amendment’s passage to appropriate Congressional bodies; and be it further
Resolved, That a request be sent by this Convention for inclusion of its support to be posted on the “Supporters” page of the Equal Rights Amendment website.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 76th General Convention of The Episcopal Church renew its historic support of passage of the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and be it further
Resolved, That this renewal include petitioning for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in the 111th Congress through submission of this resolution to the office of Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, lead sponsor of the ERA in the House of Representatives; and be it further
Resolved, That a request be sent by this Convention for inclusion of its support to be posted on the “Supporters” page of the Equal Rights Amendment website.
