The House of Deputies Committee on Formation and Education for Ministry presented its Report #41 on Resolution A032 (Establish Coordinator Position for Women’s Ministries Networks) and moved adoption with amendment.

Original Text of Resolution:

(A032)

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 78th General Convention direct the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society to establish a staff position of Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networks; and be it further

Resolved, That this staff person be empowered to engage existing networks across the Church and establish new networks to train and mobilize women leaders, both lay and ordained; and to release women’s leadership skills for the sake of the whole Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the 78th General Convention call on each Province to appoint a representative to work with the Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networks; and be it further

Resolved, That the 78th General Convention request the Joint Standing Committee on Program, Budget and Finance to make available sufficient budgetary monies to the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society to fund a Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networks, as well as additional seed money for the development and implementation of a self-sustainable model of women’s ministries networks that will connect women across dioceses and provinces of the Church.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 78th General Convention direct the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society to establish aan independent contract employee or staff position of Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networksfor women’s ministries and networks in the amount of $150,000 for the triennium; and be it further

Resolved, That this staff person be empowered to engageserve as a network catalyst to existing networksmovements and programs across the Church and establish new networks to train and mobilize women leaders, both lay and ordained; and to release women’s leadership skills for the sake of the whole Church , mobilizing women leaders, both lay and ordained; and be it further

Resolved, That the 78th General Convention call on each Province to appoint a representative to work with the Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networks; and be it further

Resolved, That the 78th General Convention request the Joint Standing Committee on Program, Budget and Finance to make available sufficient budgetary monies to the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society Executive Council Committee on the Status of Women to fund a Coordinator for Women’s Ministries Networks, as well as additional seed money for the development and implementation of a self-sustainable model of women’s ministries networks that will connect women across dioceses and provinces of the Church. provide additional seed money to be used to create a self-sustaining model for a vibrant network of women’s ministries across the Church.
