Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church endorses the Fourth United Nations World Conference on Women: Action for Equality, Peace, and Development, to be held in Beijing, China from August 30 to September 15, 1995; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council recognizes the importance of both in official Anglican Consultative Council Delegation and an informal Episcopal presence at the U.N. Conference, August 30-September 15, as appropriate. The U.N. Observer's Office, in consultation with the Anglican Women's Network, will appoint the ten member ACC Delegation, and ECUSA's representation is to be racially and ethnically representative of this Church. Any funding sought to enable both groups to participate fully is to be from non-budgetary sources. |
