Resolved, That the Executive Council meeting in Portland, Oregon from March 2-4, 2007, call on Episcopalians and The Episcopal Church at every level to urge their members of Congress and elected officials to support reentry programs for prisoners and ex-offenders; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council direct the Secretary to send copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, to appropriate members of the U.S Senate and House of Representatives, and their counterparts in other countries, and to other appropriate officials and institutions. |
